I control the Docs but all my dudes have just been aced as a result of a shootout draw – do I lose control of the Docs as soon as they were aced, or do I keep control until they hit boot hill?

Although your dudes are aced they haven’t left the location yet (they’re about to). You still control it and can use Doc’s to harrow one of the dudes.
