If you completed all the criteria for registration prior to this you can go directly to the HPC under their “grandfathering” clause. The conditions are the same as for ACS routes: • a first or second class honours degree awarded by a higher educational institution in the UK, or other higher qualification such as an MSc or PhD, plus • evidence of a satisfactory assessment of your competence, • the individual is a bona fide practitioner, • three years of post-training experience relevant to the work of a Clinical Scientist, gained up to 8 July 2003 as shall satisfy the HPC.THIS ROUTE CEASES BY LAW ON JULY 8 2005. APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THIS DATE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR REVIEW. APPLICATIONS RECEIVED NEAR THIS TIME MUST BE COMPLETED SATISFACTORILY BEFORE 8 JULY 2005 – IF ANY PROBLEMS MAY EXIST PLEASE ALLOW ENOUGH TIME TO RESOLVE THEM PRIOR TO THIS DATE TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT. THESE ARE LEGAL REQUIREMENTS DATES CANNOT BE CHANGED. For more information see the HPC website.
