You may have “pop-up blocker” software installed on your PC that is preventing the client from starting. Many pop-up blockers have a simple way to allow popups for the site which you’re currently viewing. Check the status bar at the bottom of your browser; it may display a message about a blocked popup and tell you how to allow the popup.
