Yes. You can return, reserve and renew items at any library location regardless of where they are shelved. The catalog shows that the book is available for check-out, but I can´t find it. It could be that the book is reserved, that someone is using it at the moment within the library, that it is currently in circulation waiting to be shelved… Ask the library personnel, and someone will help you find it.
