I changed the batteries on our Newton MessagePad, and now it will not restart and the screen is blank. How do I get it to work?

You need to reset the Newton; on the back of the PDA is a small button labeled “reset”, tap this once and the system should restart. To prevent this problem in the future, make sure you have the Newton plugged in using the AC adapter before you remove the battery pack.
