There is an easy way to do this. Make up a new home page on your subweb that says “I’ve moved to http://www.mydomain.com. Don’t forget to change your bookmarks. Click here to find me if your browser doesn’t take you there automatically.” Insert the ink to your new website in the obvious place. Then select HTML view and insert the following tag into the code between the and tags: Note the unusual use of the quote marks. This tag must be entered on one line. The number 5 refers to the number of seconds the browser should pause after the page is loaded, and of course the URL refers to your new web address. You could set the number to zero, but then few people would actually be able to read the message and update their bookmarks.
