I can get to either Google or Cor login pages from off-campus. What can I do?
You may be behind a firewall, either on your work, a public, or your personal computer. Cor and Google authentication runs through port #8447. If you are accessing from your place of employment, the technology administrators will need to open port 8447 for auth.css.edu. If you are accessing from home, you can open port 8447 through the firewall software. (For example, Windows XP comes with the firewall turned on. Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel and choose Windows Firewall. Click on the Exceptions tab, choose Add Port. You name it whatever you like [ex. CSS Cor] and put in 8447 as the port number and click OK twice.) Also, if you have anti-virus software installed on your computer, some anti-virus softwares come with a firewall enabled as well. Unfortunately, there are so many different anti-virus softwares that we are unable to supply specific instructions on how to open port 8447 for these.
