A. For practitioners working with facials, tanning and body wrapping, the less expensive, lower-end saunas are adequate. (They couldn’t achieve the amount of detoxification or perspiration with these units, though). When it comes to other models on the market, keep in mind the old adage: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. If someone is battling severe health concerns or has multiple chemical sensitivities, the TheraSaunas and/or the Smarty sauna are a cut above the rest, as they do not off-gas like other plastic or wooden saunas do. When you’re sick the last thing you need is more poison to combat. (We’ve never had a customer return a unit because of odor or a chemical sensitivity issue).
