A. Generally speaking, most birders use angled scopes and hunters/guides use straight scopes. If you are pointing the scope upwards (such as looking at a nest) an angled scope is easier to uses. If you are lying prone so as not to be seen by the game and looking out over a distant meadow a straight scope is easier to use.
