I can not login into BIRTP or Private Club pages, what is wrong?

We have found that a few members encountered this problem after they signed up with BIRTP membership service or after they changed the password or username. The error message typically was “401” error or other browser error message when they tried to browse BIRTP protected area or Private Club area.
