You can only use the IP address of the DVR to connect to it from computers that are on the same network, when you connect from a remote computer you need to use the public IP address of the router the DVR is attached to. You can get this addess by going to www.myipaddress.com from a computer that is attached to the same router as the DVR. • When I try to install the SuperDVR program I get an error message-cant create surface, how do I get around this error message. The SuperDVR is having problems communicating with the video card on the system through the Direct Draw program in Windows.
