There are a couple different possibilities for the drive not recognizing. First of all, make sure you have properly installed the drive according to manufacturers recommendations. If you have properly installed the drive, there may be a problem with the system BIOS not recognizing the full size of the drive. This can usually be solved with a BIOS overlay, such as EZDrive or Ontrack. You can download these utilities from the drive manufacturers website. If the drive is recognized in BIOS, but not in Windows, you may need to partition and format the drive so that Windows will assign it a drive letter and have it be usable in Windows.
