I bought a 256MB PC100 SODIMM (item 256M-SO100) and it only reads 128MB or does not work at all?

Item 256M-SO100 are high density 8 chip modules made using 32Mx8 DRAM and the general rule of thumb is that your system must support 512MB per SODIMM in order to use these modules. If you need low density low profile SODIMMs please exchange for item 256M-SO10016C.
