I basically moved from Massachusetts to California. Will my auto insurance/accident history seize transfered?

I have heard that Massachusetts insurance companies are typically independent of California insurance companies. As a consequence, California insurance companies wont own access to my records in Mass. This would be a sign of that my old claims/history won’t affect my new insurance policy contained by California. Can someone tell me if this true.
