I backed up up some video files and tried to play them with Windows Media Player and they would not play, how can I play them?

There is a file player program on the CD that came with the DVR, you can use this program to play files. The program also gives you the open to convert the files into AVI format so you can play them in a third party program that can play AVI files, such as Windows Media Player.
