Applications received for Police Officer are pre-screened based on the minimum qualifications. The most qualified candidates will be notified by mail that they are eligible to test for the position. The testing date is determined by the Police Chief and Human Resources Director. Applicants who are not able to test on that date or fail to show up will be disqualified. There are no make-up testing dates. On testing day, candidates will first take a written exam that will be scored immediately upon completion. Candidates who pass the written exam will immediately take a physical agility test. Candidates who pass both the written test and physical agility test will be asked to interview. Out of state applicants will be accomodated by having both tests and the interview in the same day. Those that are in-state, the interview will be scheduled for the following week.
