I am writing a novel and the setting is Princeton, New Jersey. Can you tell me the general aspects, like weather, places to go, suburbs, etc?
Princeton is the home of Princeton University, which has a beautiful and distinguished campus. (Think of the movie “A Beautiful Mind.”) Nassau Street, running just north of campus, is home to plenty of restaurants and shops. Besides the token Starbucks, there’s Small World Coffee, Olive’s (awesome cookies!), Winberie’s, Teresa’s, T. Sweet’s, Halo Pub, Bent Spoon (awesome cupcakes!), Ivy Garden, Thai Village, PJ’s pancake house, and many more. You might see Toni Morrison, Cornel West, John Nash, or some other famous Princeton Tiger. Lake Carnegie is home to the boathouse and Princeton’s world-renowned crew team. A few winters ago the lake froze over and it seemed like the whole town came out to skate and play. The weather is similar to New York (an hour train ride away), though Princeton seems to have more very rainy days. It’s absolutely gorgeous in the fall.
