I am wondering what the actual cost is to build the Chrysler 300 M before it is shipped to a dealer. How much does it cost Chrysler?
1st – the 300M is no longer in production, it was superceded by the 300 and 300C. The 300M was a front wheel drive sports-luxury sedan which shared many components with the Dodge Intrepid, and Chrysler Concorde. When you ask cost to manufacturer, what costs do you want included: * parts costs * labor costs * engineering and product design * certification costs (EPA, NHTSA, etc) * manufacturing engineering costs * tooling costs * plant and corporate overhead * advertising * warranty fund * etc And in what volume? If you buy 10,000 of something, it is alot cheaper per unit than if you buy 1 or 10. For example, the products my company sells, to make one it costs about $3000-; to make 10000 per year, it costs under $50- each, plus about $75,000 in tooling. This does not include overhead, design, shipping, etc. We are a small company, with rather low volumes.
