I am unable to access any IRQs on my PC since they are all being used or are just simply not available. Can I can avoid using an IRQ on the Kofax controller?
Kofax’s controller boards may be operated without setting an IRQ. This is known as “poll” mode and is supported by KIPP 2.X under the OS/2 and DOS/Windows operating systems, ImageControls and the KF-4100 Scan Accelerator. This is only supported on ISA bus controllers. To operate the controller without an IRQ set, you will need to reinstall the drivers. During the installation process, you will be prompted for the controller’s IRQ setting. Select None. This selection should be at the bottom of the list of selectable IRQs. You must remove the IRQ jumper from the controller.
