I am trying to submit a claim for HCPCS code J7307 which was effective as of January, 2008. Why are my claims being denied?
Although HCPCS code J7307 became effective January 1, 2008, it is listed as a status indicator “I” code. Status indicator “I” means that these codes are not covered by Medicare Part B. The code can be submitted to Medicare Part B for denial. This will allow services to be filed to the beneficiary’s secondary insurance.
