I am trying to follow Tutorial # 1 and # 2 in the Pro-Tracks Plus Manual and cannot hear any playback from my Lexicon Omega. What could be the reason for this?
The first few Tutorials in the Pro-Tracks Plus manual, Tutorials # 1 and # 2, are designed primarily for MIDI editing and not for Digital Audio editing. MIDI files will not have any sound to playback unless you are triggering a synthesizer or tone module. MIDI data does not contain any audio information. For Digital Audio, try tutorial # 3 or # 5 instead. These tutorials contain audio files that should playback through the Lexicon Omega. Also, be sure that the Monitor Mix knob on your Lexicon Omega is set in the middle and that you are using headphones or have powered speakers connected directly to the line outputs of the Omega.
