I am trying to access a web page of a student, faculty or staff member and I was told to use the tilde. What is the Tilde?
When trying to access web pages of students, faculty and staff, the tilde are used before the username. You can locate it on your keyboard in very uppermost left side of the keyboard. Hold down your shift key and press the tilde key, you will get this character ~. The proper use to access a web page looks something like this: www.bw.edu/~username.
