I am thinking of purchasing some leather furniture based on color swatches. How can I be sure that the furniture will match the swatch?
All leather is unique. No grain structure is identical to another. No fiber structure in a hide is equal. This means that the color and pigments used for dying and dressing the leather penetrate unequally into the hide. You will notice a slight difference in color/shading and or graining between the color swatch and the furniture as within the furniture for aniline or nubuck leather.
