I am thinking about my major, but dont want to decide right now. What do I do?
You are not alone. However, ALL students who receive federal financial aid must declare a major to complete the financial aid process. If you are not receiving federal financial aid, and have not declared a major, you may still complete the general education requirements for a degree and explore a couple of courses in various fields of interest. These courses may be used as elective credit, depending on the program that is eventually chosen. There are several disadvantages for not declaring a major. First and foremost, you may not graduate with an undeclared degree. If your goal is to graduate within two years, by delaying your choice of major, you may also leave yourself insufficient time to complete the graduation requirements in your chosen field. This could also lead to loss of time and/or credits towards your degree at your transfer institution. The degree program that provides the most flexibility for a variety of degree and transfer options is Liberal Arts (AA. LIB) or Liberal A
