I am taking a pre-Professional Program class that requires field experiences. Do I need to get fingerprinted and complete the background check?
No. The State Department of Education is requiring the background check to be completed for field experience classes that require Professional Program admission for enrollment. Therefore, if you are in a field experience class that does not require Professional Program admission, particularly EDTE 210 and EDTE 314, you are not required at this time to get the background check. This is subject to change if the State Department of Education or school district policies change.
