As someone who switches dog food on a regular basis, unless you have a dog with a particularly sensitive stomach, changing all at once will not be a problem. I believe that switching regularly improves the dog’s overall diet since the only standard out there is the AAFCO standard (which is an incredibly low standard) and that only studies how a dog does on the food for 6 months. It does not look at the effects of a single food over the lifetime of a pet.
