A. Because Rhetoric is taken by most of the incoming freshmen class, the University must restrict enrollment in the fall based upon your UIN. Consequently only students with an even UIN can enroll in Rhetoci 105 in the fall. An alternative would be to take SPCM 111 and SPCM 112. This does mean that you will need two courses rather than one to complete the Composition I requirement. However, if you are in Music Education this may be a better choice because it will also take care of your Speech Communication requirement. For others who may be doing public speaking professionally this is also a valid choice.
