I am submitting a Proposal in NSF Fastlane. Is a Proposal Routing Form required for this kind of submission?
Yes, a Proposal Routing Form is required for FastLane submissions. As of October 1, 2000, all proposals to the National Science Foundation are required to be submitted via FastLane. The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) suggests that you follow these steps when routing your NSF FastLane Proposal. Send the signed Proposal Routing Form, NSF Cover sheet, Project Summary, Budget and Budget Justification to OSP for initial review several days in advance of the submission deadline. Or, FAX the signed Proposal Routing Form and, in the FastLane proposal submission module, allow “View Only” access to the Fastlane proposal for review of the cover sheet and budget. (click Allow SRO access – View Only). OSP will contact PIs about any necessary corrections. Once any necessary corrections have been made in FastLane and all sections of the proposal are complete, click the “CHECK” button. This will alert you to any system errors to be corrected.
