I am showing flu-like symptoms and was directed by my physician to stay home for several days, but I dont have enough sick time available. What should I do?
You should discuss the situation with your supervisor, however if you have been directed by your physician to stay home then that is likely the most appropriate course of action. You can discuss with your supervisor possible alternatives to charging sick time, such as charging another available form of paid time off (for example, AL/PH, V, comp time) or taking the day as leave without pay. If you feel well enough to work, you may also be able to arrange with your supervisor to perform your work from home.
