Yes but only under 2 conditions: 1) if you are in a tenure-stream position or a full-time 12-month lecturer position and 2) if you are at least 60 years old and have at least 10 years of full-time continuous service. If you wish to elect a Retirement Option, you must give notice to their head of academic unit no later than June 30, 2007 that you are considering a Retirement Option. Irrevocable notice to take a Retirement Option must be given by December 31, 2007 (although the notice period can be modified by agreement). You can also choose to continue to work and elect to take a retirement option or a reduced appointment at a later date.
