I am purchasing chicken and goose eggs to hatch for the first time. Do I need 1 or 2 incubators / hatchers & what kind?

You need two. The eggs are quite different in size, so the egg turner for chicken eggs will not handle a goose egg. Also, chicken eggs hatch in 21 days, and you have to take them off the turner for the last 3 days. Goose eggs hatch in 28 days, give or take a day or two.
