I am often asked the difficult-to-answer question, “Who is the best chocolatier in Paris?
patrickrogerparischocolates.jpg There are very few parts of Paris where you can’t find something delicious made of chocolate. From my apartment, I’m one block from Dalloyau and two blocks from Lenôtre. Walk out my front door, cross the street, and there’s Joséphine Vannier near the Place des Vosges, a small chocolate shop which I’ve never even been into (the selection in the window seems to delight the tourists, but belies the more serious chocolates inside.) And I’m only two blocks from A la Petite Fabrique, but the saleswoman is so rude that I refuse to shop there (…since she refuses to wait on me, I guess we’re even).
