I am not studying theology or religious studies but like the look of the Theology and Religious Studies AKC. Can I take that one instead of the General AKC?
It is not possible for non-theology students to take the Theology and Religious Studies AKC in order to qualify for election by the College Council as an Associate of the College. Students who are not pursuing a Theology degree must follow the General AKC which covers theology, ethics and philosophy. This is to fulfil the mandate in the Royal Charter of the College which states the College must ‘provide instruction of a university standard and…..in the doctrines and duties of Christianity’ However you are of course very welcome to attend the Theology and Religious Studies AKC lectures out of personal interest. These are held on Thursdays at 10am at the Strand Campus.
