I am not legally married, but do have a domestic partner. How do I report jointly held assets and shared expenses?
The Noncustodial PROFILE Application requires that only the biological or adoptive parent and spouse report their income and assets. Therefore, when completing the application, you should report the portion of income, assets, and expenses which are yours alone. In question I2, explain the situation by indicating that your domestic partner shares the assets and household expenses. Some colleges may ask for more detailed information about your partner’s finances.
