I am not interested in making another Eliza type Bot with canned phrases. Why can I make an artificial intelligent robot?

I personally don’t believe true artificial intelligence is possible nor do I care to spend my lifetime trying to achieve that. Creating Bots is only a hobby for me. A Chatterbot by definition is only mimicing a human and the best Bots at doing that at this point in time are not the so called learning Bots.
