I am not certain about CCTV and when we supply a copy. What are the rules?
A. A copy of any visually recorded evidence should be provided with the Police Report which shows the commission of the offence or illustrates another important aspect of the case. Q. Does this include custody videos in cases charged under sections 4 – 7 of the Road Traffic Act 1988. A. No. We should not fall into the trap of considering this as evidence it is at best unused material and as such is not disclosable merely because it supports the prosecution case. The evidence in such cases is contained in the MGDD forms and arrest notes as summarised in the POLICE REPORT.
