Yes. Special eligibility requirements for non-designated PhDs, DBAs, and EdDs who wish to teach courses are as follows: • Hold a Ph.D./DBA/EdD from an accredited institution in a real estate appraisal related area. • Hold a PhD/DBA/EdD from an accredited institution. • Be a professional teacher with a minimum of two years college or university teaching experience in a real estate appraisal related area. • Successful completion of the Instructor Leadership and Development Conference. • Attend a traditional, full course audit of Basic Appraisal Principles and/or Basic Appraisal Procedures and pass the examination with an 80% or better. • Once audit is complete, Associate instructor status is given for sessions attended/exams passed. • Associate instructor status remains until each course is taught with a 4.0 or higher (based on a 1-5 scale).
