I am looking to go on vacation at the beginning of the year and want to go somewhere that has great nightlife and beaches. Which would be a better place to go, Plata Puerto, DR or Negril, Jamaica?

I am looking to go on vacation at the beginning of the year and want to go somewhere that has great nightlife and beaches. Which would be a better place to go, Plata Puerto, DR or Negril, Jamaica?

I would also agree that Jamaica would be the better place to go. While DR has great beaches, it really doesn’t have much in the way of nightlife, especially as a tourist. Negril has the beautiful 7-Mile Beach, and also has a number of nightclubs, parties on the beach, bars, etc., including The Jungle, Rick’s Cafe, Margaritaville, Alfred’s, and Risky Business. Heck, in Negril, if you’re up to it, you can purchase a night pass and experience an evening at Hedonism II.
