There are one or two references to the place-name Cockmylane/Cockmalane in Scotland (rather than street-name), two of which are in Fife and one in West Lothian. And, there is a road called Cockmylane in Edinburgh itself, about which we answered a query from another enquirer several months ago. Unfortunately there is no information about the derivation of the street name.
