I am logged into EZproxy with my MWS username and password, but MetaLib only recognises me as a guest. Why is this?
You need to be logged into EZproxy with your MWS username and password to access Online Library resources (either through the University portal or at the point where you try to access MetaLib). Once logged in, when you connect to MetaLib users are automatically recognised as ‘guests’ and it will say Guest, LAUREATE in the top right corner. However, if you have got this far, you are definitely logged in and you do have full access to everything the Library subscribes to. However, once in MetaLib there is the option to login (with your MWS username and password) so you can access more advanced MetaLib features through your own My Space area. One of these features allow you to save articles from your searches. To login to MetaLib just click on the padlock icon at the top right of MetaLib screen and login using your MWS username and password. Note that this takes you to the ‘Liverpool portal’ for on campus students, so to access the ‘Laureate portal’ click on the portal icon at the top rig
