I am legally blind.is there any free software downloads for magnification of the words on my computer screen?
if you run windows xp, there is already built in software to do this for you, it’s called magnifier and works like a magnifying glass: start > programs > accessories > accessibility > magnifier if you have a different version of windows it will still be there but not necessarily in the same folder as the one i pointed you to above. when running it basically splits your screen into two, the bottom shows the screen as it is and the top shows a magnified version of whatever is under your mouse at the time – you can also change the magnification level to suit your eyesight and change how much of the screen shows the magnified section.
