Once you decide to switch service providers, your existing prepaid mobile number will be processed within one working day (not inclusive of Saturdays, Sundays, eve of Chinese New Year, Christmas, New Year and Public Holidays) to activate the ported number. During this one working day, you can still utilise your value from your existing prepaid SIM card. This also means that you will be able to use your existing number on your new service provider’s network by the next working day from when your porting request was submitted. However, do understand that this timeframe will be subject to approval from the original service providers and the volume of requests for the day. Once your prepaid mobile number has been successfully ported over to StarHub, your old SIM Card will be inactive and you will not be able to utilise your previous balance in the card anymore.
