For the past several years, the ACC has been developing policies and standards to guide the committee. These policies and standards make the job easy and minimize the amount of time required at meetings. Meetings are scheduled once a month although if there is no urgent business then meetings are often postponed until the next month. The ACC must meet at least once every three months as established by the ACC policy guidelines. A typical meeting lasts no more than an hour. Other than the scheduled meetings committee members are on call, if a request for approval (RFA) is submitted. Once an RFA is received, the ACC has 30 days to review and respond to the homeowner. Typically, this means that two members must meet and review the request. This usually takes only a few minutes to evaluate the RFA if the information submitted is sufficient.
