I am interested in having photovoltaic cells installed. How compatible is Dura-Foam with photovoltaic systems?
We have coordinated with various solar electric companies to ensure optimum performance of both the roof and the photovoltaic systems. We also offer general contracting services on projects where photovoltaic, hvac, low voltage, and other systems are to be installed in conjunction with a new roof installation. Often, Dura-Foam customers decide to have photovoltaic cells installed many years after the initial roof installation. In these situations, the existing roof remains intact and we simply seal around the newly installed vertical supports for the new photovoltaic support structure. We form a permanent seal between the support and the existing roof; we don’t patch, we seal.
