No. I am interested in purchasing a taxicab vehicle and I am interested in affiliating with an existing company or association. Does the Moratorium affect my ability to do so? No. Presuming you already have a public vehicle for hire operators license (hackers license) the Moratorium does not affect your ability to associate with an existing organization. If you have never had a hackers license, you would have to take the hackers training course offered at the University of the District of Columbia; complete the course and receive a Certificate of Completion and take the pre-licensing examination required by the Commission. This examination is slated to begin to be offered in late Fall 2008. Does the Moratorium affect my ability to obtain a public vehicle for hire operator (hack) license to drive a taxicab?
