We would not recommend that Nanoboost™ be used as an exterior automotive coating because the abrasion and chip resistance is not as high as those types of coatings. We would recommend interior application. Q: Can I apply Nansulate® to my basement walls prior to framing and drywall. A: Yes, Nansulate® HomeProtect can be used on basement walls prior to framing and drywall. The coating should be allowed to fully cure for 30 days before it is encased with the drywall, to ensure it has a chance to properly cure. After the cure is complete, the coating reaches its full insulating ability. The coating can also be used on the exterior of the drywall.
