• We recommend students pursuing an AE/ME double major focus on the AE major first (fitting in ME courses as you can), and then complete the ME degree. This is because ME courses are offered more often than AE courses, which are offered only once a year • There are 35 extra credit hours beyond the AE curriculum to complete the ME degree. It normally takes five years to complete the double major • AE to ME course substitutions are as follows (ME to AE substitutions in parenthesis): • MSE 201 replaces MSE 200 (or vice versa) • MAE 473 replaces MAE 305 (or vice versa) • MAE 355, 356 and 455 replace MAE 308 (MAE 308 replaces MAE 355 only) • MAE 371 and 472 replace MAE 316 (MAE 316 replaces MAE 371 only) • MAE 461 replaces MAE 435 (or vice versa) • AE departmental elective replaces one ME departmental elective • Humanity/social science requirements are the same for both majors • You must complete both senior design sequences (MAE 415 + MAE 416 for ME, MAE 478 + MAE 479 for AE) • To declare
