I am HIV positive/ have an STD. Can I contnue to have sex?
Many people who have STD’s do have a normal sex life – but they have a moral duty to inform their partners before having sex so that both parties can take precautions to prevent the spread of infection. Using a condom is essential – we would recommend an extra-strong condom. Consult your doctor for advice in your specific case. Remember that having sex recklessly or with intent to infect somebody else has been severely punished by the courts.
