Currently the Traveler application works best with Creative Labs SoundBlaster 16 and fully compatible boards. If you do not have one of these boards, please verify with the vendor of your sound board that it is a 16 bit board and you have installed the Win9x drivers. If you must install a new driver (or new sound board) be sure to run the “Add New Hardware” program from within the Control Panel of Win9x. If your sound board is not a SoundBlaster 16 or AWE32, it may still work in half duplex mode. This means you will be running in “push to talk” mode and will not be able to hear other avatars speak when you are speaking. The Traveler application will not work with 8 bit sound boards. This means you will be running in “push to talk” mode and will not be able to hear other avatars speak when you are speaking. The Traveler application will not work with 8 bit sound boards.
