If you are having trouble using LiveUpdate, you can use the “Intelligent Updater.” This is simply a downloadable file which will, when executed, update your definitions in whatever Symantec product you use. It’s updated daily so you can get defintions as often as you like. You would get this here: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/download.html Be sure to download the correct defintions for your version of Norton or Symantec Anti-Virus. The file name takes the form of YYYYMMDD-###-x86.exe.
